The hot springs are sourced from "Nanakuri no Yu" in the Nanakuri area, which is located across the Ano River from the famous Sakakibara Onsen, a place associated with the literary figure Sei Shonagon. The silky-smooth, clear, and nearly odorless alkaline spring water is said to be beneficial for chronic skin conditions, neuralgia, and muscle pain.
