Ama huts are shelters where ama divers rest after fishing, warm themselves by lighting fires, and prepare for their next dive. These huts are also spaces where they change, enjoy meals, and share lively conversations around a central hearth during breaks between morning and afternoon fishing sessions.

At Satoumi-an, you can experience the atmosphere of an authentic ama hut while enjoying stories about ama fishing and the sea from active or retired ama divers. The facility offers both lunch and dinner services, featuring fresh seafood caught in the waters of Ise-Shima. The ingredients are cooked over charcoal, enhancing their flavor in the rustic, welcoming ambiance of the hut.
