Grown in the nutrient-rich waters of Matoya Bay, which is nourished by blessings from the surrounding mountains such as Jingu Forest, each oyster is carefully raised to ensure a flavor that perfectly balances sweetness, savoriness, and saltiness. These plump and flavorful oysters are known for their lack of bitterness, harshness, or odor—making them a delight even for those who usually avoid oysters.
Matoya Oysters are specifically cultivated to be enjoyed raw. After harvesting, they are kept in UV-sterilized seawater for over 20 hours, significantly reducing bacteria levels so you can safely enjoy them raw.
